On Petition for Inclusion of Land

The Bastrop County Emergency Services District No. 3 (“District”) Board of Commissioners has received a Petition to Include Territory in the District from individuals within a portion of Bastrop County not within the District. The Petition requests the District to annex certain areas within Bastrop County. These areas include: all land located within the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin, Texas, lying within Bastrop County, Texas, and all land within the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City of Elgin, Texas, that lies within Bastrop County, Texas.

A public hearing on the petition will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Bastrop County Commissioners Court Room, at 804 Pecan Street, Bastrop, Texas 78602. All interested individuals are invited to attend the public hearing and provide comments or express support for or against the proposed annexation.
