It's getting tangible!

The image shows a delivery scene with packages being unloaded from a truck, a warehouse in the background, and a white vehicle.

Up until now, the planning has been on paper. In the past couple of weeks, we have started receiving delivery of key equipment and supplies. The first pallets of disposable supplies have arrived and will be used to stock our first ambulance to facilitate obtaining our provider license soon. The shelving and bins for the stockroom should arrive before Christmas.

We previously showed a photo of our first twelve Ford F450 chassis (and yes, they are F450’s for those of you concerned that they looked at F250’s).   And we have received our first shipment of Styker Power Pro 2 cots. The loading systems are going straight to Frazer for installation.

Planning is wrapping up on the larger capital purchase plan. In January, we will start placing all those orders to allow for lead times.

We have identified the location for our Elgin Regional Station and should ink the lease by the end of December. This site will house a supervisor and a 24-hour ambulance for 3 years, giving us time to find property and build the long-term home in the northern part of the county.
