District Takes Delivery of First Ambulance, a.k.a. Shop “Twelve”

February 4th marks an important day in District history. Our team took delivery of our first ambulance. Over the next week, this unit will be outfitted with supplies and equipment in preparation for our DSHS licensing inspection.
It’s exciting to officially introduce our branding and color scheme . We wanted a clean, classic look. The colors match the primary colors in our logo. We want to thank Bastrop County Commissioners Court for approving our request to use “Bastrop County EMS” as our provider name. The name speaks to our commitment to the entire county and our pride in our home community.
Shop “Twelve” is a gently used Frazer ambulance mounted on a 2011 Dodge chassis. The unit was previously owned by Texas A&M University (“Twelve” as in 12th Man). Although 14 years old, the unit has only 50,000 miles of campus driving and is in great condition.
Shop Twelve will remain in the fleet family after we take delivery of our fifteen 2025 Frazer 14’, door forward ambulances. The new units will begin arriving in August in anticipation of an expected October 1st transition date. Shop Twelve will provide additional surge capacity for the 911 system and be available for football games and other events needing stand-by coverage.
The Aggies on our team are thrilled that we’re able to give this Old Ag additional life.
Tune in later this week for additional updates. We have lots to share with you. January was a busy month!
